There are so many creative ideas for thrift store finds! Thrift stores are stocked with donated items and attract a wide variety of customers. You know what they say? One person’s junk is another person’s treasure. These shops are perfect for folks wanting to decorate on a budget while often supporting local non profits at the same time. Talk about a win-win situation.
For example, shops like The White Dove in the Phoenix area all directly supports Hospice of the Valley. Even better, they are run mostly by volunteers so more of the proceeds go back to Hospice of the Valley. Non profit thrift stores receive some of the highest quality donations in town. A pint of good paint can make a dated end table fit in perfectly with your home decor! Sometimes you’ll find things are winners as is, and sometimes you’re going to want to add your own creative touch.

Purchasing a new lamp shade for a great base is another idea. If you considering anything that has a plug, look for a sign that says it was tested or as to try it.
Serving platters and dishes are other as is favorites. They are great for adding some style to your next party or shower you throw. Items like picture frames, baskets and wood furniture can be changed to fit your style. For example, picture frames can be painted a different color and the current artwork can be replaced with a cork board.
Another simple, but dramatic idea, is to add some dollar store holiday decor to plants or topiaries to brighten your space. Inexpensive artificial plants are usually easy to find. If you can visualize a little decor, you’ll have a great porch or patio piece that you can switch up seasonally.
